Bolgatanga, Dec. 26, 2025 — The Upper East Regional Office of MTN Ghana has donated essential delivery hampers to mothers who gave birth on Christmas Day at the Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga and the War Memorial Hospital in Navrongo.

A total of 28 hampers were presented to the beneficiary mothers, who delivered on December 25, 2025, as part of MTN Ghana’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at supporting maternal and child health.

The hampers contained key items such as soap, diapers, feeding bottles, baby drums, sponges, baby powder, pomades and other essential materials needed by nursing mothers and their newborns.

The initiative, which has become a yearly tradition, targets “lucky mothers” who deliver on Christmas Day across selected health facilities in the Region.

Madam Anisa Abdulai, Senior Midwifery Officer at the Upper East Regional Hospital, speaking on behalf of the Regional Hospital and the Maternity Ward after receiving the items, expressed profound gratitude to MTN Ghana for the gesture.

“So on behalf of the Regional Hospital and the Maternity Ward, we are very grateful to MTN for giving us the lovely package for our mothers on this day. They have been doing it every year and this year is not an exception,” she said.

Madam Abdulai described the hampers as comprehensive and timely, noting that the packages were complete sets that met the basic needs of new mothers and their babies.

“The package is so beautiful, it’s a complete set; you don’t need anything to buy again. Our mothers are very happy and they are appreciating MTN. May God strengthen you, promote your business and let you grow higher and higher,” she added.

She further prayed for divine blessings for MTN Ghana and encouraged the public to continue patronising the network.
Some of the beneficiary mothers also expressed appreciation for the support.

Madam Sophia Atia, a mother of twins, thanked MTN Ghana for the donation and pledged her continued loyalty to the network.

“We are grateful for the gift that MTN has brought for us. We will keep on using MTN wherever we go. Thank you, MTN,” she said.
Another beneficiary, Madam Monica Tubila, described the gesture as thoughtful and impactful.

“We thank MTN so much for the gift. They have done well. Almost all we needed as newborn mothers are contained in the package, so we are very grateful. Everyone should use MTN,” she said.

The donation underscores MTN Ghana’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and contributing to improved maternal and child health outcomes, particularly during festive occasions.
